These terms apply when you download or use Prayer Screen on your iPhone. Installing the app means you accept them.
Prayer Screen is an iPhone app that shows Scripture on your Lock Screen and Home Screen, lets you read the Bible verse by verse, and can hold selected apps behind a short prayer. It is made for personal, non-commercial use.
No account is required. You are responsible for the device you install it on and for keeping your App Store credentials secure. You agree not to reverse engineer the app, resell it, or use it to interfere with anyone else's device.
Core features are free. Prayer Screen Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store:
Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices are in US dollars and may differ by region and by applicable tax.
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe before it ends. One trial per Apple Account.
Cancel at any time in App Store settings on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access to Plus continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy, not by us, though we are glad to help you make the request.
The lock feature relies on Apple's Screen Time framework and on the permissions you grant. It is a help for attention, not a security control. iOS may allow apps through during updates, restarts or emergency situations, and the feature can be removed at any time in iOS Settings. Do not rely on it to prevent access in circumstances where access matters for safety.
Bible text is used under the terms of its respective translation license, credited in the app. Interpretation notes, reading plans and prayers are written for devotional use. They are not pastoral, medical, legal or psychological advice. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or a local emergency service.
The app, its name, its design and its original writing belong to Prayer Screen. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app. Nothing else is transferred.
Prayer Screen is provided as is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
We may update these terms as the app changes. Material changes will be noted in the app before they take effect, and continuing to use Prayer Screen after that means you accept them. We may suspend access if the app is used in a way that breaks these terms or the law.
Apple is not a party to these terms. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Prayer Screen, and any claim relating to the app should be directed to us.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located there.
